Contemporary Weaving and Tapestry by Aga Patacz of Canada, the rectangular woven body pendant from a wooden rod, the warp threads visible above the main section of the weaving. The main section of the composition is made up of grey woven wool, worked in a flaring rectangular shape, with a pendant free-hanging  tube woven in loose entwined knots to the left, and a double slash cut into the flat surface to the right. 

The weaving is named Minnehaha, which means "Curling Waterfall." Minnehaha was a Native American character in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1855 epic poem The Song of Hiawatha. The Dakota Sioux used the word Minnehaha to describe most waterfalls. 

 

Hand dyed, all natural wool.
